The pickleball community in Switzerland continues to grow - and we are delighted to welcome another strong member to the Swiss Pickleball Association. The new member is Winterthur Pickleball Club section of the Grüze Tennis Club.
The Winterthur Pickleball Club is Grüze Tennis Center in Winterthur and thus has an infrastructure that is unique in Switzerland: the largest pickleball hall in the country with eight dedicated pickleball courts. Such a facility creates ideal conditions for training, community events, tournaments and, of course, lots of exciting dinks, drives and drops.
With this infrastructure and a committed community, Winterthur is becoming an important location for the development of our sport in Switzerland. Dedicated indoor courts enable regular play regardless of the weather and season - a decisive factor in the sustainable growth of pickleball.
The addition of the Winterthur Pickleball Club shows once again how strongly pickleball is developing, even within existing sports structures. The collaboration with established tennis clubs creates new opportunities, brings additional players to the sport and strengthens the local community.
We welcome the Winterthur Pickleball Club and all its members welcome to the Swiss Pickleball Association. We look forward to seeing you on the courts, at events and on the Swiss Pickleball Tour.
