Pickleball continues to grow, and this time we are particularly pleased to welcome a strong newcomer from a new region: ARANEA+ Climbing & Badminton in Schaffhausen recently started offering the opportunity to play pickleball on three badminton courts to play.
This creates another place in Schaffhausen where our sport can be experienced in an uncomplicated way: try it out, play, get to know people, get better. This is exactly how pickleball usually starts, and this is exactly how a scene is created.
Three fields, many possibilities
The fact that pickleball can be played on badminton courts is a huge advantage when it comes to availability. The infrastructure is there, the hall is weather-independent and you can set up regular playing times without having to rely on rare “special slots”. Three fields also mean more players, more dynamism, more community. From casual after-work games to organized training sessions, many things are possible.
Welcome, Schaffhausen!
For us, this step is more than just “another venue”. It is a real signal: Pickleball is arriving in new regions, and with it, the exchange is growing. New faces, new ideas, new local initiatives and hopefully soon also new tournament formats or small community events in the region. Schaffhausen is an exciting addition to the Swiss pickleball map, and we are very happy about this connection.
More than just playing time together
What we particularly like about such partnerships is that it's not just about setting up a network somewhere. It's about working together, supporting each other and learning from each other. ARANEA+ already has a lot of experience in indoor sports, and it is precisely this exchange that helps to build Pickleball sustainably: with clear processes, good slots, an open community and an offer that also picks up newcomers.
