New addition: Tennis Düdingen joins our association!
Pickleball fever continues to spread, and since the beginning of 2024, we are delighted to welcome Tennis Düdingen as a new member of our growing pickleball community! By joining, we are expanding our association and helping to spread pickleball even further in Switzerland. We warmly welcome Tennis Düdingen and look forward to a successful collaboration!
Why should sports centers become part of our non-profit association?
Many people may have asked themselves this question: Why should sports centers become part of a non-profit association? What was considered new and innovative last year is now one of the pioneers. Sports centers that include pickleball in their offerings are pioneers in this movement. Our association uses its network to inform pickleball fans about new courts. There is currently not a shortage of players, but of opportunities to play the sport. Clubs have a freeze on new growth as court capacity is limited. Most people who try pickleball are happy to play again, but there is often a lack of available courts. The sports centers that offer pickleball are therefore not only a blessing for players, but also for the sport as a whole.
Financial perspectives and social aspects of pickleball
Initial data suggests that investing in pickleball courts can be worthwhile not only in sporting terms, but also financially. Schools and senior citizens increase utilization, as these groups, who may no longer be able to play other rebound sports, quickly find joy in pickleball. The small court size and the possibility of often playing in doubles also make the sport particularly attractive socially.
